Veli Tourist Village, Kerala - Sep 2008

At a distance of 8 kilometers from the capital city Trivandrum (Thiruvananthapuram), is the Veli lagoon with a pleasant waterfront park. Only a narrow sandbank distinguish the lagoon from the sea. There is a floating bridge, and a floating restaurant run by K.T.D.C.

Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple, Thiruvananthapuram - Sep 2008

Padmanabhaswamy temple is a well-known Hindu temple devoted to Lord Vishnu situated inside the fort in city of Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The temple has a 100 foot tower made up of seven stories and stands by the side of a large pond called Padma Theertham which mean lotus spring.

Varkala Beach, Thiruvananthapuram - Sep 2008

Varkala also known as Papanasam beach is about 40 kilometers north of Trivandrum city and also famous as an important Hindu pilgrimage center. The unique feature here is the laterite cliffs that border the beach jut dramatically into the Arabian sea. The sweet mineral springs that gush out from these cliffs are famed for their medicinal properties. Other attraction of this place is the memorial to the great social reformer Sree Narayana Guru at Sivagiri.
