Warning! Redmi 9 Power Goes Dead After MIUI 12 Update: My Frustrating Experience

If you're considering buying a Redmi 9 Power, you might want to read this first. I recently had a frustrating experience with my Redmi 9 Power after updating to MIUI 12, and I want to share my story with you.

First, a little background. I bought my Redmi 9 Power from Amazon.in in February 2021, so the phone was just over 2 years old when the update happened. Before the update, the phone was working perfectly fine. But after I updated to MIUI 12 and rebooted the phone as prompted, it never turned back on.

No buttons were responsive, and the phone didn't even charge when connected to the charger. I tried everything I could think of to fix it, but nothing worked. I lost all my data and files that were stored on the phone, and I was left with a useless brick.

The worst part is that my warranty had expired, so I couldn't get any help from Redmi's customer support. I was left to deal with the frustration on my own.

I wanted to share my story to warn others about the potential risks of software updates and to caution against buying a Redmi phone, particularly the Power series. While not all Redmi phones are bad, my experience has left me with a bad impression of the brand.

In conclusion, be careful when updating your phone and always back up your data. And if you're considering buying a Redmi phone, do your research and consider other options. Don't end up like me, with a dead phone and no help in sight.

Escape to Mahogany Thottam: A Hidden Paradise by the Periyar River, Perfect for a Peaceful Picnic, Scenic Swim, and Relaxing Retreat from the Summer Heat

If you're looking for a place to escape the hustle and bustle of city life, Mahogany Thottam near Kochi is the perfect retreat. This secluded plantation is situated in Illithode, about 50 kilometres from Kochi city and very near the Cochin international airport. Unlike the nearby tourist spot Paniyeli Poru Rapids, Mahogany Thottam is not crowded, making it an ideal place to enjoy the natural beauty of Kerala in peace and quiet.
To get to Mahogany Thottam, you'll have to walk through a forest path that is about 1.5 kilometres long. Throughout the path, you'll see warning boards with elephant images as the area is prone to wild animals crossing, especially elephants. In fact, we saw fresh elephant droppings on the way, which was both exciting and scary at the same time.
But once you reach Mahogany Thottam, you'll be rewarded with a breathtaking sight. Tall mahogany trees on the bank of Periyar river provide a natural shade that is perfect for escaping the summer heat. The river itself is crystal clear and inviting, so we went for a swim and captured some stunning underwater videos and stills of Periyar River with our GoPro camera.

In addition to swimming, you can also have a picnic, play games, or just relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Two vigilant lifeguards are on duty on the river bank to intervene if any accidents occur in the river, so you can feel safe while enjoying your time there.

Overall, Mahogany Thottam is a nature lover's paradise that you don't want to miss. Just be sure to carry swimming trunks, bath towels, and other essentials with you if you plan to take a dip in the river. And of course, be mindful of the warning signs and stay safe.
