Chathiyath Road, Pachalam near Kerala High Court right in the center of city is one of the best scenic roads in Kochi with backdrop of alluring backwaters. Kochi’s 1.8 km long picturesque walkway Queens Way is situated here. Best for morning and evening walk. The view of the setting sun from this walkway is absolutely beautiful.

My Kochi | Puthuvype Lighthouse | Vypin Island | Ernakulam

The Puthuvype Lighthouse is situated at Puthuvype Beach Light House Road, Vypin about 9 kilometres from Kochi city and 4.6 kilometres from Vypin ferry. You get a bird’s eye view of the verdant suburbs of Kochi and the Arabian sea from this 46 metres tall Light House. Now temporarily closed due to Corona.

 Vypin beach is situated just 6 kilometres from high court junction, Ernakulam. Not so popular and lengthy as Fort Kochi beach, Vypin is a nice place to spent the evenings with the sun setting in the Arabian Sea. Vypeen is the opposite side of Fort Kochi on the shipping channel of Kochi Port. Vypeen and Fort Kochi are connected by Roll on-Roll off (Ro-Ro) ferry service (featured in this video). You can also buy fresh (even live) fish from the Chinese net operators here in the morning and evening hours.
