An enthralling characteristic of Nehru Trophy Boat Race is the presence
of 'Thekkanodi' boats with women rowers. In the featured photos, ten
international rowers wearing traditional Kerala Sarees or 'Kasavu Settu
Mundu' also known as 'Mundum Neriyathum' along with local women, row
their boat in the Punnamada lake, that hosts this annual Boat Race. The
boat 'DEVAS' of Vembanad Vanita Boat Club, bagged the first prize in the
'Thekkanodi' women category of 57th Nehru Trophy Boat Race.
