Idukki is one of the two most nature-rich districts in Kerala other than Wayanad with more than half covered with forest. This rocky hill resort is known for its arch dam, wildlife sanctuaries, and large stretch of plantations. Idukki's arch dam constructed across the Kuravan and Kurathi mountains is the largest in the country.
