Exploring the Wild Wonders of Abhayaranyam Eco-Tourism Park, Kaprikad: Nature rehabilitation centre for orphaned wildlife run by Kerala Forest Department.

Abhayaranyam Eco-Tourism is a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Kerala, India. This 200-acre nature reserve boasts an incredible variety of flora and fauna, including over 250 species of birds and 22 species of mammals, making it a paradise for wildlife enthusiasts and nature lovers alike.

Kodanad Elephant Training Centre, where you can see about 6 to 7 elephant shelters, each housing an elephant each is situated inside this Abhayaranyam Eco-Tourism project. The Kodanad Elephant Training Centre is home to several elephants, including tuskers like Neelakandan and Chandru, as well as cow elephants like Sunitha, Anjana, Asha, and Parvathi. This video also showcases the newly constructed cage made of eucalyptus tree wood, which will soon become the home for tusker Arikomban that is making trouble to the people of Santhanpara and Chinnakanal of Idukki district of Kerala once he is captured from the wild.
