Experience the Best of Kerala Hills: A GoPro 10 Dashcam Journey from Vagamon to Kochi via Thodupuzha

Join us on an exhilarating journey from the serene hills of Vagamon to the bustling city of Kochi, all captured on our GoPro 10 dashcam. Our trip covered a distance of approximately 103 kilometers and took us through the stunningly beautiful Idukki district of Kerala, India.

We began our journey from the picturesque Holiday Vagamon resort, where we had a memorable stay amid the lush green hills and misty valleys. Our route took us via Thodupuzha, a shorter and less confusing route than the one we took for our uphill journey via Pala. Google Maps also recommended this route, which further added to our confidence in choosing this path.

As we hit the road, we were greeted by winding roads that meandered through tea plantations, dense forests, hills, and hairpin bends. Our GoPro 10 camera mounted on the car windscreen captured every breathtaking moment of our journey, including the stunning views of the Western Ghats and the sprawling valleys.

We took a break for lunch and relished some delicious local cuisine, which is famous for its spices and flavors. The stopover also allowed us to take a closer look at the local culture and lifestyle of the people in this region.

After our rejuvenating break, we continued our drive through the beautiful scenery, and it wasn't long before we reached our home in Kacheripady, Kochi. Kochi, a major port city on the southwest coast of India, is known for its rich history, culture, heritage, and cuisine.

We hope you enjoyed our dashcam video, which provides a glimpse of the beauty and diversity of Kerala. Please like, share and subscribe to our channel for more exciting videos like this. Thank you for watching, and we look forward to seeing you soon!

Journey through the Misty Mountains: A Dashcam Tour from Kochi to Vagamon via Pala with GoPro 10

Hello and welcome to our dashcam video of our road trip from Kochi to Vagamon via Pala. In this video, we will take you on a journey through some of the most scenic routes of Kerala and show you the mesmerizing beauty of Vagamon, a serene and picturesque hill station.

Starting Point and Route: We started our journey from Kochi, the commercial capital of Kerala, and drove along Thrippunithura, Mulanthuruthy, and Kaduthuruthy. The drive on this route was smooth and pleasant, with lush greenery on both sides of the road. We passed through several small towns and villages, and the scenery was a delight to watch.

Pala: After driving for a few hours, we reached Pala, a town famous for its rubber plantations and churches. The town was bustling with people and had a vibrant atmosphere. We stopped briefly to take in the sights and sounds of the town before continuing our journey.

Erattupetta-Vagamon Road: From Pala, we took a left turn and followed the Erattupetta-Vagamon road, which is a winding and narrow road with many hairpin bends and steep slopes. The road passes through lush green hills, tea estates, and spice gardens, providing a breathtaking view of nature. The road is well-maintained, and driving on it was an exciting experience.

Karikadu View Point: One of the highlights of this road is the Karikadu View Point, where we stopped for a while to enjoy the panoramic view of the valleys and mountains. This point is also known for its misty fogs and a panther statue that adds to its charm. We could see the road to Vagamon zig-zagging the hills beyond. It was a breathtaking sight that we captured on our GoPro 10 camera.

Vagamon: We resumed our drive and reached Vagamon after covering 112 kilometers from Kochi. Vagamon is a serene and picturesque hill station with a pleasant climate throughout the year. It has many attractions such as meadows, waterfalls, religious sites, and adventure activities. We stayed at the Holiday Vagamon resort, which is a cozy and comfortable place with a great view of the surroundings.

Return Journey: On our return journey, we chose the alternative route via Thodupuzha, which is also a good and scenic road with about 10 kilometers less distance than the Pala route. The drive on this route was equally pleasant, with scenic views of the hills and valleys.

Conclusion: In conclusion, our road trip from Kochi to Vagamon via Pala was an unforgettable experience that we thoroughly enjoyed. The dashcam video captures the scenic beauty and road conditions of this route, which is one of the best ways to reach Vagamon. Conquer the Rugged Terrain of Vagamon: A Guide to the Ultimate Off-Road Jeep Adventure

Off the Beaten Path: Discovering the Raw Beauty of Vagamon through Jeep Safari

Vagamon is a beautiful hill station located in the Idukki district of Kerala, famous for its scenic beauty, lush greenery, and pleasant climate. It is also a popular destination for adventure seekers who want to experience the thrill of off-road jeep safari. In this post, we will take you through our unforgettable experience of off-road jeep safari in Vagamon.

One of the best ways to explore the rugged terrain and hidden gems of Vagamon is by booking an off-road jeep safari with Mr. Kaleesh, a local guide and jeep driver who has been taking tourists for a ride for over 10 years. Mr. Kaleesh is an expert in navigating challenging routes and ensuring the safety and comfort of his passengers. He is also very friendly and knowledgeable about the history, culture, and terrains of Vagamon.

We opted for a 2-hour and 50-minute off-road jeep safari with Mr. Kaleesh and visited some of the most breathtaking spots in Vagamon. Our first stop was Kottamala View Point, where we were amazed by the panoramic views of the hills, valleys, and tea estates. The view was simply stunning and we couldn't stop taking pictures.

Next, we headed to the Idukki Dam Reservoir view point, where we enjoyed the magnificent view of the dam and the surrounding hills. We then proceeded towards Uluppuni Waterfalls, where we saw the water cascading down from a height of 25 feet. The waterfalls were a sight to behold, and we felt rejuvenated by the cool breeze and the sound of the water falling.

Our next destination was Kappakkanam Tunnel. Although we could not drive through the tunnel, we walked inside it for a few hundred meters. The tunnel was dark, and we had to use the torch lights on our mobile phones to navigate through it. We walked through water flowing in the tunnel, and in some places, it was deep up to our knee length with slippery uneven rocks in the bottom. Therefore, we must be very careful when entering this cave and walking through it.

We then visited Kaithapathal View Point, which is known for its stunning panoramic views of the surrounding hills and valleys. We could also spot various wildlife and birds during the safari, which was a thrilling experience.

Mr. Kaleesh's jeep can comfortably accommodate up to 8 people. He also charges very reasonable rates for his services and accepts online payments as well. You can contact him at +91 9744728515 to book your off-road jeep safari in Vagamon.

In conclusion, if you are looking for some fun and excitement in the lap of nature, off-road jeep safari in Vagamon is a must-try activity. Warning! Redmi 9 Power Goes Dead After MIUI 12 Update: My Frustrating Experience

If you're considering buying a Redmi 9 Power, you might want to read this first. I recently had a frustrating experience with my Redmi 9 Power after updating to MIUI 12, and I want to share my story with you.

First, a little background. I bought my Redmi 9 Power from Amazon.in in February 2021, so the phone was just over 2 years old when the update happened. Before the update, the phone was working perfectly fine. But after I updated to MIUI 12 and rebooted the phone as prompted, it never turned back on.

No buttons were responsive, and the phone didn't even charge when connected to the charger. I tried everything I could think of to fix it, but nothing worked. I lost all my data and files that were stored on the phone, and I was left with a useless brick.

The worst part is that my warranty had expired, so I couldn't get any help from Redmi's customer support. I was left to deal with the frustration on my own.

I wanted to share my story to warn others about the potential risks of software updates and to caution against buying a Redmi phone, particularly the Power series. While not all Redmi phones are bad, my experience has left me with a bad impression of the brand.

In conclusion, be careful when updating your phone and always back up your data. And if you're considering buying a Redmi phone, do your research and consider other options. Don't end up like me, with a dead phone and no help in sight.

Escape to Mahogany Thottam: A Hidden Paradise by the Periyar River, Perfect for a Peaceful Picnic, Scenic Swim, and Relaxing Retreat from the Summer Heat

If you're looking for a place to escape the hustle and bustle of city life, Mahogany Thottam near Kochi is the perfect retreat. This secluded plantation is situated in Illithode, about 50 kilometres from Kochi city and very near the Cochin international airport. Unlike the nearby tourist spot Paniyeli Poru Rapids, Mahogany Thottam is not crowded, making it an ideal place to enjoy the natural beauty of Kerala in peace and quiet.
To get to Mahogany Thottam, you'll have to walk through a forest path that is about 1.5 kilometres long. Throughout the path, you'll see warning boards with elephant images as the area is prone to wild animals crossing, especially elephants. In fact, we saw fresh elephant droppings on the way, which was both exciting and scary at the same time.
But once you reach Mahogany Thottam, you'll be rewarded with a breathtaking sight. Tall mahogany trees on the bank of Periyar river provide a natural shade that is perfect for escaping the summer heat. The river itself is crystal clear and inviting, so we went for a swim and captured some stunning underwater videos and stills of Periyar River with our GoPro camera.

In addition to swimming, you can also have a picnic, play games, or just relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Two vigilant lifeguards are on duty on the river bank to intervene if any accidents occur in the river, so you can feel safe while enjoying your time there.

Overall, Mahogany Thottam is a nature lover's paradise that you don't want to miss. Just be sure to carry swimming trunks, bath towels, and other essentials with you if you plan to take a dip in the river. And of course, be mindful of the warning signs and stay safe.
