Indian Cooking | Kerala Beef Curry

Indian Cooking - Kerala Beef Curry by Smitha Bimal Raj
Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 40 to 50 minutes
Ingredients:
Pressure Cooker Cooking
1 Kilogram Beef
2 ½ tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
2 to 3 no Slit Green Chillies
2 tsp Pepper Powder
1 ½ tsp Turmeric Powder
1 tsp Salt
1 Cup Water

Kadai Cooking:
15 to 20 no sliced Shallots
1 large chopped Onion
Salt as needed
3 to 4 no Slit Green Chillies
1 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
2 to 3 no Tomatoes small
2 tbsp. Coriander Powder
2 tbsp. Kashmiri Chilli Powder
Curry Leaves
1 ½ tsp Garam Masala Powder

Method:
1.    Marinate beef with pepper, salt, turmeric, ginger garlic paste
2.    Add one cup water
3.    Cook for 20 to 30 minutes (after first whistle, keep it in low flame)
4.    Keep a Kadai
5.    Pour 4 to 5 tsp of coconut oil
6.    After that add shallots, then chopped onion, slit green chillies
7.    Add salt ass needed
8.     Sauté well
9.    Then add 1 tsp of ginger garlic paste
10.    Sauté everything well till it turns light brown
11.    After that add chopped tomatoes
12.    Mix thoroughly
13.    Add coriander powder, Kashmiri chilli powder
14.    Again mix well
15.    When the raw smell goes, add garam masala
16.    Now add the already cooked beef
17.    Mix well
18.    Add sufficient water if needed
19.    Check the salt
20.    Let it boil for few minutes
21.    Remove from flame when gravy thickens
22.    Kerala Beef Curry is done
23.    Serve it with steamed tapioca, chapatti, puttu, rice, ghee rice, appam, parotta or bread...
